Throughout school, veterinarians and others in the field, are taught a lot about the body and it’s functions but very little about their minds and how to be in healthy relationship with their thoughts.
Once out in the field, they often find themselves juggling multiple priorities and stressors on a day to day basis. This can lead to things like compassion fatigue, burnout, and what can feel like insurmountable stress. They can start to question themselves, their choice to join the profession, and even their ability to continue moving forward.
With my lifelong love for all animals and my rescue volunteer experience, I have observed and witnessed the need for mindfulness tools to be offered to those in all aspects of animal welfare. It is with great passion that I share mindfulness tools to those in animal welfare to impact the lives of the caregivers. Supporting veterinary medicine by empowering veterinarians, technicians, managers, and other team members to use practical tools and tips for living a healthy and balanced life. I am delighted to be sharing stress reduction and resilience tools to be applied to the common things that are faced in everyday, providing caregivers in the field the tools they need to navigate their days with more skill and less reactivity. Having these tools in their toolbox to use as needed versus being in the fire and trying to navigate things emotionally is priceless. My goal is to provide students the tools for when they enter the field that they are so passionate about. Let’s talk and see if I will be the right fit for your school.

During times of transition, personal loss, intense emotional or physical pain, or any of the numerous circumstances that send our life out of balance, it can be helpful to have support on the journey towards greater calm and a deeper sense of well-being.
During our individual mentoring sessions, we will meet virtually or in-person using the tools of MBSR as the foundation for guidance. Working with a mentor can be life-changing due to the individualized focus.
These sessions are for those that want a more focused approach to bringing harmony to their lives, no matter what you are going through. I will support you and guide you to live the life you imagine for yourself. During your session we will discuss your life, thoughts, feelings, and your desires for the future. These discussions assist in identifying your goals, obstacles you are facing, and areas for improvement in your life. It is also an opportunity to learn more about yourself and find deeper purpose.
We will incorporate lifestyle integration of mindfulness to create behavioral changes for you. You will receive individualized support beyond a class environment and the meditations that you will be given to practice will be tailored to your specific needs.
My goal is to work with you until you can develop the emotion and beliefs you need in order to appreciate yourself, the people around you, and to work towards living the life that you want to live, by using mindfulness and other transformational techniques.
